WELCOME TO AMERICA’S GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS: “Connecticut Parents Claim Schools Teach Kindergarteners About Transgenderism.”

Connecticut parents claimed a school district is indoctrinating elementary school students about transgenderism, including a book for kindergarteners.

Officials of the West Hartford Public Schools told parents that they could not opt out from the materials, according to a release from advocacy group Parents Defending Education. The reading list for kindergarteners included the book “Introducing Teddy,” according to a lesson sheet shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“One sunny day, Errol finds that Thomas is sad, even when they are playing in their favorite ways. Errol can’t figure out why, until Thomas finally tells Errol what the teddy has been afraid to say: ‘In my heart, I’ve always known that I’m a girl teddy, not a boy teddy. I wish my name was Tilly, not Thomas,’” the summary for the children’s book reads.

“I Am Jazz,” which relates the story of transgender reality star Jazz Jennings, also appears on the reading list for fifth-graders.

“Teaching elementary students that their parents assigned them their gender at birth but may have gotten it wrong because anatomy is separate from gender is an obscene example of adults using ideology to confuse and manipulate children’s minds,” Erika Sanzi of Parents Defending Education told the DCNF. “The fact that parents are not permitted to opt their children out of this content based in gender ideology is so sinister, it’s hard to believe it’s even legal.”

WHO’S CHILDREN ARE THEY? “Parents Sue Wisconsin School District Over Daughter’s Clandestine Transition.”

A Wisconsin school district allegedly concealed information regarding children’s gender identity from parents, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday.

A 12-year-old girl was pulled from public school after the district began a ”social transition,” which the complaint says involves “presenting to others as the opposite sex, primarily by adopting a new name and pronouns,” against the parents’ express wishes, according to the lawsuit against the Kettle Moraine School District filed Nov. 17 by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) and the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) on behalf of two sets of parents.

“[T]he Kettle Moraine School District has a policy, whether written or unwritten, allowing minor students to socially transition to a different gender identity at school without parental consent, and even over the parents’ objection,” the complaint says.

The parents of the 12-year-old girl chose not to have her transition and informed the guidance counselor and principal of Kettle Moraine Middle School, according to the complaint. The principal then said he would have to talk to the school district to determine if respecting their decision was possible under its policies.

On Jan. 20, the principal informed the parents “when their daughter returned to school, school staff would refer to her using whatever name and pronouns she wanted while at school, even over her parents’ objection,” the complaint said. The parents then promptly pulled their daughter from the Kettle Moraine School District.

The complaint went on to describe how after a few weeks, the daughter “changed her mind about wanting to transition to a male identity, deciding instead that she wanted to continue using her birth name and female pronouns.”

“Parents’ rights to direct the upbringing, education, and mental health treatment of their children is one of the most basic constitutional rights every parent holds dear,” Kate Anderson, director of the ADF Center for Parental Rights, said in a release. “Yet we are seeing more and more school districts across the country not only ignoring parents’ concerns, but actively working against them,” she added.

DISCONNECT BETWEEN TRUTH AND REALITY: “New Hampshire mom breaks silence after son suspended for saying there are ‘only two genders’.”

The New Hampshire mother of a high school student-athlete suspended from playing in a football game for telling a classmate there are “only two genders” spoke out publicly for the first time Thursday.

“My first reaction was that I was shocked,” the mother, who requested anonymity, told Fox News in a statement. Her son, a football player at the school, had texted a classmate while off school grounds.

“My son had already told me about the incident, so I knew what had happened,” the mother, who lives in Rockingham County, added. “When I saw the text messages, I agreed with my son. All he did was state an opinion. I defended him on the phone to the vice principal and said, ‘He has a right to his opinion.’”

The student and his mother sued  Exeter High School and Vice Principal Mary Dovholuk Nov. 4, alleging they violated the teen’s constitutional right to free speech along with the New Hampshire Bill of Rights.

The school has a written policy on “transgender and gender nonconforming students” that says they have the right to be addressed by their preferred name and pronoun, irrespective of their biological sex.

The intentional refusal to respect a classmate’s chosen gender identity – including nonbinary and agender — is a violation of this policy, the suit says.

“This case shows that schools increasingly not only think that their role is to instill the correct ideological beliefs in students but to enforce those beliefs,” the family’s attorney, Ian Huyett, told Fox News. “Fortunately, they have no constitutional ability to do that, and it’s important they be reminded of that.”

In sum: here’s the logic of what is happening in America’s government schools:

  1. Indoctrinate young children into the world of transgenderism starting in kindergarten.
  2. Prevent parents from learning about their 12-year-old child’s transition to the opposite sex.
  3. Suspend any student who thinks there are only two genders.

ALL OF THE PARTICULAR ISSUES THAT BEDEVIL AMERICAN EDUCATION CAN BE REDUCED TO ONE QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE RIGHTS OF PARENTS IN A GOVERNMENT SCHOOL SYSTEM? Our friend, The Redneck Intellectual, will be addressing this exact question in the weeks to come. Stay tuned.
