Two Yale Law School students have filed a federal lawsuit against the law school’s dean, two administrators and the university, claiming the administrators tried to deny them prestigious teaching assistant positions as retaliation for refusing to lie in support of the university’s probe of a noted professor.
The lawsuit stems from a document, known as the dossier, which another student gave to the administration earlier this year and which allegedly shows professor Amy Chua broke a 2019 agreement not to socialize with students. At that time, Chua expressed “my deep regret for anything I said and did in my interactions with students that might have impacted any students negatively.”
