OUR FRIEND, THE REDNECK INTELLECTUAL, HAS JUST DROPPED A MAJOR ESSAY AT HIS SUBSTACK. The essay is the first in a series on the question of “rights” and education. I’m told the essays will each, in their own way, address two related questions.  First, who should determine the cognitive content of America’s children, parents or government officials? Second, do parents have an unalienable right to determine how, in what, and by whom will their children be educated, or should the government have that right? “The Fundamental Issue of Our Time.”
